The Knabenmortirchesel #5 imposed over the Philippines is not enough and the Charlottians are not stopping, either.

The Department of Boy Affairs (YKF) is very alarmed that multiple boy deaths - that is, more than a boy being killed in one single incident - is becoming very common in the Philippines in the past days.

The latest were the drowning incidents in Olongapo City and the shooting in Cotabato City. All the five children victims are boys.

It is the habit of oppressive governments to censor mass media, effectively to filter in all information they want their subjects to hear, and throw out anything the undesired ones. Particularly those being forcefully erased are those which place their iron rule into bad light, something which can cause mass unrest and dissent.

If you ever hear of modern-day oppressive regimes such as China and North Korea, the practice is very much alive. North Korea even went as far as shutting itself off from the Internet, and putting death to those who caught watching South Korean dramas. The ruling Communist Party of China is also working hard to completely erase the Tiananmen Massacre of 1989, where democracy protesters were brutally crushed, or rather, to modify this bloody part of their history to suit their tastes.

It is very alarming that the same thing is happening in the Philippines. No, the Philippines is currently a democratic country, and there is no way that information can be suppressed. People can freely know unadulterated news and information.

This has caused so much criticism and backlash not only among the LGBT (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender) groups, personalities and supporters in the Philippines, but also in the entire world, and it costs his partnership with sporting apparel giant Nike.

But recently, a more complete video of his statement has emerged and is making rounds on social media.

The Philippines is still a car-centric country with no regard to pedestrians. One of the pet projects of the local governments and especially the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH, aka the "Department of Public Wreckage of Heritagesites" which is yet another issue with the department) is various road widening projects, which are actually band-aid solutions to accommodate more cars and supposedly, to reduce traffic.

While South Korea managed to remove the Cheonggye Skyway in Seoul in early 2000s and restored the stream with much success (and without causing too heavy traffic in a city of 10 million people – roughly the same number of people as that in Metro Manila), Philippines has the habit of removing sidewalks in the name of these road widening projects.

One of the things that are causing the stir among the great city planners like Paulo Alcazaren, Felino "Jun" Palafox and their fans, as well as the community of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), is the road widening project set to start soon along Arsenio H. Lacson Avenue, on where the 405-year-old university currently stands.

The video of a Mitsubishi Adventure hitting a motorcycle head-on at its correct lane in Baguio City is now making rounds in the social media.

The incident, captured in a dash cam, happened last February 13 along the curve part of the highway in Marcos Highway in Baguio City.

That segment of the highway has two opposite lanes separated by double yellow lines, which means overtaking is strictly forbidden at all times. It is due to the blind curve in some particular portion of the highway, including where this incident took place, which raises the possibility of accidents.
